As a Financial Crime Officer, you will be part of the Financial Crime team to assist with the detection and prevention of Financial Crime at Zopa. 

This is a hybrid role – the team works in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Your working week will consist of 7.5 hour shifts between 8 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and you will be required to work one day of the weekend every other week, remotely. If you work a day at the weekend, you will receive a day off during the week.

As a Fraud Application specialist, you will undertake a wide range of activities and you will play a crucial role in the servicing, processing and approving of applications to support our Zopa products where fraud concerns are held, while providing exceptional customer service to deliver the right outcomes. This role requires a keen eye for details, strong analytical skills and the ability to make information decisions and will work as part of the wider fraud team at Zopa.

This is a hybrid role – the team works in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

<li>Conduct thorough application screening and review processes for all Zopa products, ensuring adherence to company procedures and service conduct level agreements</li><li>Handle all aspects of fraud escalation referrals during the application journey – this includes, document reviews, conducting security calls where concerns are held and escalating to the fraud operations team where high concerns are held</li><li>Manage and complete fraud checks with other banks via Cifas, where concerns are held with documentation</li><li>Utilise credit reference agency information and extensive data to support underwriting decisions</li><li>Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers throughout the onboarding process</li><li>Assist senior and team leader where required.</li>

<li>You will be leading the Fraud Prevention and Detection strategy<b> </b>for all Zopa products, ensuring that we balance the need to protect our customers and Zopa against fraud, whilst balancing customer experience and complying with the relevant policies and regulatory changes. You will play a crucial role in understanding, managing and improving the detective and preventative controls that relate to Fraud, reporting directly to the Director of Fraud. </li><div><br /></div><li>You will be responsible for understanding Zopa products to ensure that you have meaningful insight on their fraud performance, risks and weak areas where we need to improve our controls, working together with cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements, where necessary. As the Fraud Prevention and Detection Manager you will deliver exceptional advisory, operational and fraud risk support across the business,; acting as the Fraud Subject Matter Expert to ensure that initiatives are delivered in control and within Risk Appetite. </li><div><br /></div><li>Of course, you won't be doing this alone. <li>Develop and maintain successful fraud strategies to protect customers and the business; this includes the delivery of fraud prevention and detection solutions ensuring that losses are managed within Risk Appetite, defining and developing controls roadmaps, delivering and maintaining a robust fraud risk framework </li><li>Develop and encourage industry partnership and collaboration, acting as the Zopa Fraud Subject Matter Expert and maintain a strong network to understand industry best practices and emerging trends </li><li>Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that losses are managed effectively whilst supporting the business to grow; this includes working with a variety of stakeholders including Product, Tech, Operational and Risk colleagues </li><li>Ensure that we adhere to current legislations and regulations and adjust the fraud strategy to meet future changes, when required </li><li>Complete root cause analysis to identify fraud trends and to support the creation of enhanced controls, once gaps are identified </li><li>Assist with the production of analytical reports to facilitate decision making as well as support with the management of the fraud systems and the underlying rules, as required </li>

<li>You’ll be an experienced leader in Fraud Strategy. Ideally, you also have experience of working in an Analytical environment. </li><li>Your expertise in fraud, ideally is gained from experience in either a financial institution or consultancy in fraud detection and prevention </li><li>You have experience defining and delivering strategies that relate to fraud prevention and detection across first party fraud, third party fraud and authorised push payments (APP) fraud </li><li>You have experience working with cross-functional teams to effectively manage fraud detection and prevention activities ensuring relevant policies, procedures and standards are implemented and met </li><li>You are the subject-matter expert on fraud risk, advising stakeholders on emerging trends, regulatory changes and best practices </li><li>You have excellent stakeholder management skills. <li>Prepare reports and visualisations to present your findings to stakeholders to support fraud decision making </li><li>Ensure your work and the work of those supporting you is high quality and meets quality and risk standards </li><li>Develop and run controls to identify and monitor known and emerging risks and escalating any breaches to ensure that these are reported and mitigated effectively and timely </li><li>Work with stakeholders to deliver and present analysis and insight into fraud risks and develop analytical processes to mitigate the risks identified </li><li>Manage BAU as well as regulatory &amp; compliance reporting </li>

<li>You have experience working in a data intensive role. Ideally, you also have experience of working in a Fraud environment. </li><li>You have proven technical ability in generating insight using technology and analytics over datasets and communicating this insight in a variety of forms such as presentations, formal reports and data visualization </li><li>You have demonstrable experience in delivering insight using data analytics to a non-technical audience </li><li>You are independent, pro-active and have a confident approach in managing your workload, you have experience of independently delivering data analytics tasks as well as working with and / or helping others to achieve this </li><li>You have excellent stakeholder management skills. The Collections & Recoveries Team is a specialist group within Zopa's highly regarded customer services, assisting with the initial stages of borrower arrears to maximise the recovery of new arrears cases.

We are looking for Collections & Recoveries Specialists to join the team. You will be joining a friendly and supportive group who are our Customer Champions, dedicated to caring for our customers and reflecting that commitment in everything they do.

Please note that you will be required to work on a shift rota:

Monday - Friday:
08:00 - 16:30
09:00 - 17:30
10:00 - 18:30
11:30 - 20:00

This is a hybrid role, requiring one day per week in our London Bridge office, usually on a Wednesday.

<li>Making outbound calls through a dialler system to discuss repayment of the borrower’s outstanding arrears</li><li>Receiving inbound calls regarding account queries, handling disputes, taking payments and setting arrangements</li><li>Responding to customer and third-party emails</li><li>Administrative work dealing with correspondence from third parties such as debt management companies and insolvency practitioners</li><li>Completing and reviewing income and expenditure forms with the view of agreeing realistic payment plans based on borrower affordability</li><li>Signposting borrowers with financial difficulties to not-for profit debt agencies</li><li>Speaking with Vulnerable customers, discussing their circumstances and providing relevant assistance and support tailored to their needs</li>

<li>You will have previous experience of working in a customer focused environment, with telephone/call centre duties ideally in a debt recovery/collections role</li><li>You may have previous experience in Auto/Motor recovery experience however this is not essential</li><li>You will be familiar with FCA regulation, data protection, and anti-money laundering principles</li><li>You will have excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>You will be punctual and flexible in adapting to changing environments based on role requirements</li><li>You must be confident in using Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Excel and Word</li><li>You are friendly and empathetic</li><li>Excellent team-player who can work independently and adapt well to change</li><li>You are compassionate, grounded, logical and objective; able to follow through on difficult decisions</li>

We are looking for a commercially focussed Product Director to join our Unsecured Personal Loan (UPL) tribe looking after all aspects of new customer acquisition. The role will span the entire funnel and require someone who is able to work closely with both analytical and technical teams to implement the experiences, features and decisioning to maintain our industry leading position in loans and grow our market share.  

We launched our loan proposition nearly 20 years ago, starting as the UK’s first peer to peer lender before turbo charging our growth in 2020 as we transitioned into a bank. We are currently the largest open market lender and are always looking to challenge ourselves on how we can continue growing and putting our world class product in the hands of more customers. 

This is a highly autonomous and high ownership role, leading multiple cross-functional software teams with support from product managers, analysts and partnerships team to build new go to market strategies. Your role will be owning the UPL originations roadmap that will need to carefully balance big bets, more guaranteed growth and investment in our platform/people. You will also own the commercial management of UPL where you will be recommending pricing/strategic decisions to the senior management team. You will need to collaborate to get to the right answer, drawing on our best-in-class analytics customer insights and industry context to make sure the roadmap is always the best that it can be. 

Despite having a great team around you, you will need to be happy and able to get your hands dirty as there are always opportunities that we could be looking at. This may involve building simple financial forecasts, validating commercial viability, facilitating/taking part in ideation sessions, collaborating with software engineering on the technical approach or, being in the middle of the launch of a large new project. 

You will have 1 direct report and lead 2 x-functional engineering teams (~15 engineers) and set the direction for multiple analytical teams. You will need to be able to inspire these teams to deliver at their very best despite only directly line managing a small proportion of them. This will require diverse leadership skills that can empathise with a variety of viewpoints and draw the best out of the individuals.

The Role
This role sits within our Data Governance team which is currently made up of the Head of Data Governance and the Data Privacy Manager, of which you will report directly into the Data Privacy Manager. You'll be primarily focused on supporting the Data Privacy Manager, however, the intention is that you will also be able to support the Head of Data Governance for the equivalent of 1 day per week.
 
The team are the first point of contact across the business for data protection queries and data management/governance related questions. The team has recently expanded due to implementation of a data governance system and governance changes across the business which requires data protection review, risk rating and sign off on all changes involving the use of personal data. This is in addition to business-as-usual activity such as due diligence for new and existing suppliers, assisting in data protection matters that arise in customer services and adhering to data protection requirements such as DPIA review and maintenance, RoPA guidance and maintenance and training of data protection responsibilities across the business.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you are customer-centric and a strong team player, with a collaborative approach that ensures the customer is always at the heart of everything you do. You can identify opportunities to improve the service we offer and make decisions aimed at creating an exceptional customer experience every time. Delivering first-call resolution by working closely with other areas and taking ownership of each customer interaction is essential to this role.

You will work 5 days out of 7, totalling 37.5 hours per week. The working pattern will consist of 7.5 hour shifts between 8 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and you will work one weekend a month, 9 am – 5:30 pm.

The Analytic Engineering team is part of the wider Data Team within Technology. We are looking to grow the team and are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join. The team are all about turning data into useful information that helps analytic, product, finance and risk teams get the value and insight that they need!

The role
At Zopa we have multiple products and lots of data that we want to make better use of to make better decisions for our customers. So, as an Analytics Engineer you will use your skills to learn your domain and build a strong knowledge of the data and build quality data products that are well structured with built in controls and quality checks using our selected tools. Not only that, at Zopa we focus heavily on autonomy and empowerment so you will take ownership for the daily operation of these data marts: resolving issues and escalating issues where appropriate. Moreover, you will help and support our stakeholder group with data knowledge and skills, as well as support other team members by supporting code reviews and data validation checks to make sure we keep our standards.

As the Product Director for our mobile app, you will be at the forefront of our mobile product strategy and execution. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation and ensure our mobile app delivers exceptional value to our users. <li>Set the strategic direction for the mobile app product in collaboration with the Chief Customer and Chief Technology Officer – starting from Zopa’s overall purpose and business objectives. </li><li>Translate the strategy into well defined products, services and capabilities within the App roadmap </li><li>Energise the app team to deliver the roadmap, managing relationships and interdependencies across the business and externally. At Zopa, our teams are small, agile and cross-functional so you can expect to interact with stakeholders and key business users daily. We are big believers in a lean philosophy and flexibility in implementation, while aiming to achieve stack consistency and alignment across the board. As a Software Engineer you will be experienced solving complex engineering problems, understand the full SDLC and operate, not just create, production environments. Our Software Engineers understand the trade-offs between risk, quality, speed as well as short-term vs long-term value, all the whilst keeping focused on customer needs. Above all, we want team players focused on improving the organisation and the people around them. 
 
Some of the tech stack you will be working with includes: Java, Kafka, Kotlin, React, React Native, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, AWS Aurora Postgres, just to name a few. But don't worry, you don't need to know it all.

<li>FinTech or challenger bank experience </li>

We're looking for an experienced Risk or Treasury manager to join our team and provide our 2nd Line of Defence oversight for capital, liquidity and market risks.

The successful candidate will be part of our Risk function and will provide expert independent oversight of capital, liquidity and market risks arising from the activities of Zopa Bank, working closely with Treasury and Finance but maintaining an independent and questioning mind set to ensure that those functions are appropriately addressing key risks to the Bank.

<li>You have experience as a Risk manager or Treasury professional with an understanding of the retail banking sector and products and with experience in a role specifically focused on capital or liquidity risk</li><li>Have a technical understanding of capital, liquidity, market and other financial risks</li><li>You have previously been involved in the ICAAP and/or ILAAP development</li><li>You're a team player with good collaboration skills and able to work closely with other finance and business areas, product and technology teams in a flexible way</li><li>Have an excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to summarise complex regulatory concepts in a clear and concise way to senior stakeholders</li><li>Possess strong analytical and intellectual skills – you're able to engage with complex ideas and initiatives and to come up with clear recommendations and course of actions</li>

<li>You'll be an experienced risk leader with a strong understanding of the retail banking environment and a passion for leading teams to deliver better customer outcomes. </li><li>Proven track record of experience of managing operational risk (ideally in the first line) in a consultancy, fintech or specifically within the financial services sector.  </li><li>Good awareness of the regulatory framework in which Zopa operates and driven to self-educate and learn about the evolving Payments and Consumer Duty regulatory landscape.</li><li>You'll be able to lead stakeholders to identify areas of risk, support in the delivery of change across the business and look for ways to improve our existing risk-based practices.  </li><li>You should be technical, outcome orientated and be able to apply the risk framework to propose optimal outcomes for customers and the bank.  </li><li>A strong communicator who can articulate issues clearly, flagging trade-offs and solutions in order to gain buy in to your proposals. </li><li>Passionate about improving the risk environment and general ways of working across the teams you support. </li><li>Act as a source of knowledge and point of contact for business colleagues in your area such as second line risk and first line counterparts. </li><li>Guide first line teams in completing comprehensive risk assessments and promoting a risk-aware culture across the business.   </li>
