Hello there. We’re Zopa.
 
We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our new Analytics Director opportunity is part of our Lending Analytics team, responsible for analytics across all of ouraward-winning lending products, including Personal Loans, Credit Cards, Auto Finance and Point of Sale lending. With over £2bn of lending balances and large growth predicted over the next few years we need a data driven leader to develop and lead a team that can provide the insights that shape the strategic direction and decision making of our product managers and credit team. 
 
You will lead a large team of managers and analyststhat support our lending product tribes. You will be an experienced analytical leader, helping to develop and nurture a team to perform industry leading analytics. This will apply to a wide range of analytics problems, developing NPV models,implementing dashboards and designing tests or metrics for new product strategies. 
 
You will work as part of the Analytics team in Zopa, but you will be working closely with people across the business. You will partner with our data and analytics engineering teams to ensureourdatamarts are well structured and contain the right data. Then you will develop management reports used across the bank and externally with regulators. You will use these reports, along with models and ad-hoc analysis to help our Product and Credit Leadership team make key strategic decisions.

<li>Lead a large team of&nbsp;analysts,helping to set their goals and develop their analytical skills&nbsp;</li><li>Problem solving with leadership teams in credit risk and product management to develop new business strategies&nbsp;</li><li>Developing analytical infrastructure, from data reporting and dashboards to modelling and analytical frameworks&nbsp;</li><li>Proactively managing your team’s priorities to support objectives across a range of different lending products with a variety of different types of stakeholders&nbsp;</li><li>Defining key metrics to oversee business objectives and manage key risks&nbsp;</li><li>Modelling the impact of potential and recently launched features on customer satisfaction and financial outcomes&nbsp;</li><li>Generating key insight from data and using this insight to drive decision making – this will be across product development, pricing, risk, and management reporting&nbsp;</li>

<li>You are an experienced people leader, who has managed other people managers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>You're analytical by nature with excellent attention for detail&nbsp;</li><li>You are an expert in analytical tooling and systems (e.g. SQL, Python, Dbt, Tableau), and can drive the development of systems and ways of working required for an industry leading analytical function&nbsp;</li><li>You are a problem solver and enjoy using analytics to develop solutions to a variety of different business problems&nbsp;</li><li>You can communicate your insights succinctly and influence key stakeholders across the business&nbsp;</li><li>You treat others with respect but you’re not afraid to challenge them sensitively.&nbsp;</li><li>You are empathetic. You do the right thing for customers, even if it’s the more challenging option.&nbsp;</li><li>Previous experience of retail lending products (including loans, credit cards, auto-finance and Point of Sale) is a bonus&nbsp;</li><li>You don’t define yourself narrowly. The team 
The Analytic Engineering team is part of the wider Data Team within Technology.  We are looking to grow the team and are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join. The team are all about turning data into useful information that helps analytic, product, finance and risk teams get the value and insight that they need! Currently the team is 3 Analytics Engineers and we have hired a new Head of Analytics Engineering (starting in June) to lead and develop the team with plans to grow further.  
 
The role 
At Zopa we have multiple products and lots of data that we want to make better use of to make better decisions for our customers. So, as an Analytics Engineer you will use your skills to learn your domain and build a strong knowledge of the data and build quality data products that are well structured with built in controls and quality checks using our selected tools. Not only that, at Zopa we focus heavily on autonomy and empowerment so you will take ownership for the daily operation of these data marts: resolving issues and escalating issues where appropriate. Moreover, you will help and support our stakeholder group with data knowledge and skills, as well as support other team members by supporting code reviews and data validation checks to make sure we keep our standards.

With our customer base rapidly increasing and our product offerings and services growing over time, there is an opportunity for a Senior Training and Development Specialist/Senior training associate to join our in-house Operations Training and Development Team. Reporting directly into the Operations Training Manager, you will be supporting a small team to design and deliver engaging training which will equip Zopians both on shore and offshore, with the necessary knowledge, skills, behaviours, and tools to perform their jobs effectively and provide exceptional customer service.  
 
In this role you will be pivotal in shaping Zopa’s training and development landscape. You are passionate about fostering growth, enhancing skills, and ensuring employees are equipped to excel in their roles. As a Senior Training Associate, you’ll be at the forefront of driving impactful training & development initiatives, and organizational success.

<li>Lead the month-end close process, ensuring that all month-end activities are completed timely and accurately&nbsp;</li><li>Coach junior team members in accounting and month-end close processes&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure process excellence across all business-as-usual processes, identifying and implementing areas of improvement&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare, review, and approve manual journal entries&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for the staff capitalisations process &amp; maintain the intangible assets register&nbsp;</li><li>Use, update, and implement new financial models to determine required month-end adjustments (e.g. EIR, SBP)&nbsp;</li><li>Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations&nbsp;</li><li>Own the preparation of tax compliance schedules (e.g. VAT and Corporate tax returns)&nbsp;</li><li>Support Zopa’s overall tax management, building relationships with tax experts, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations&nbsp;</li><li>Execute monthly, quarterly and annual controls over financial &amp; tax reporting timely and accurately&nbsp;</li><li>Support initiatives aimed at enhancing the internal control environment ahead of the IPO&nbsp;</li><li>Support technical accounting assessments&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain operational procedures and policies&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare&amp; review notes in the Financial Statements alongside managing areas of the external audit&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Respond to queries from stakeholders across Finance and other business areas in Zopa&nbsp;</li>

<li>You are a qualified accountant with experience in the financial month-end close process and have an analytic &amp; practical mindset enabling you to build and operate complex accounting models and EUCs.&nbsp;</li><li>Possess strong numeric/analytical and spreadsheet skills.&nbsp;</li><li>A team player and problem solver. You’ll show great initiative to listen, analyse, research, investigate and provide solutions to problems relating to financial accounting and reporting.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>You’ve got the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst working accurately with attention to detail.&nbsp;</li><li>Finally, you’ll be energetic, motivated, and have a passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of success!&nbsp;</li>

We're looking for a Senior Analyst who is skilled in Financial Modelling to join our FP&A team. This candidate will help develop and run Zopa’s long term financial models, capital projections and stress testing which will support Zopa’s growth and scenario planning now and in the future.

Since going live with our Outsourcing partner in South Africa, the operation has continued to grow from strength to strength, with the team currently supporting Customer Service across credit cards, loans, and savings along with collections and back-office teams.
 
As the business and our customer base and demand continue to grow, we will be introducing new lines of business to our team in South Africa. As such, the need to expand the team and support the Partner Operations Manager with the day-to-day oversight of the performance of the team has arisen.

In late 2017, we offered our first secured Auto loan, and since then, we have built and improved the product. Zopa has built a team that is delivering fantastic growth. As part of our expansion, we are looking for an Internal Dealer/Broker Support Specialist to join our Auto team. 

As a Partner Support Specialist, you will be a Customer Champion, where you will be communicating with our existing brokers/dealers, dealing with their queries, completing pay-out checks, onboarding new partners, auditing brokers, liaising with internal operations teams, and working closely with the Strategic Relationship Manager to support sales.

The working pattern for this role is Monday – Friday – 09:00 – 17:30, and one Saturday per month.

This is a hybrid role – the team work in the office on Tuesday or Thursday with notice in advance.

<li>Previous experience working in the capacity of MLRO or Deputy MLRO. Including AML/CTF compliance within the financial services industry.&nbsp;</li><li>Ideally, you'll have experience of working in a retail banking environment , with a track record of successfully working with the first line of defence in managing AML/CTF risks.&nbsp;</li><li>In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and their application to the financial industry, particularly in the UK.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate financial crime risks, especially in the context of current accounts.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent communication to engage with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in implementing and managing AML/CTF programs within a financial institution, with a specific focus on current account services.&nbsp;</li><li>Relevant professional qualifications (for example ICA Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering or the ICA Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention)&nbsp;</li>
