We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. Zopa are looking for a highly motivated, people driven Customer Service Team Leader to support the growth of our Current Account product and other key initiatives. You will be customer centric, possess strong communication and leadership skills whilst able to show an agile style to work and ability to think on your feet.

As a Customer Service Team Leader at Zopa, you will be responsible for the management, organisation, and co-ordination of the day-to-day work of a team of agents to deliver the highest standards of service to our customers. Because customers are so central to our business, we have a strong track record of progressing high performing operations agents within the business – either to ops career paths or to other functions, so it is imperative that you are passionate about people and their development to support individuals reach their personal career aspirations.

With the growth of our product range, particularly our current account offering, this role will be heavily focussed on supporting the team to deliver results against some key business objectives. You will ensure you have adequate oversight of team performance and act on any insight that can help improve how we do things with a continuous improvement mindset. You’ll work closely with our current account product team to ensure we’re building a great product and acting as a voice for customers and your team, whilst ensuring product led initiatives land well within your team.

<li>Real time management of department resources to ensure internal compliance and quality KPIs are met</li><li>Close collaboration with our WFM and planning team to appropriately respond to service level variations to match staff to demand and maximise service availability</li><li>Ensure that customer and stakeholder enquiries are dealt with to Zopa set standards</li><li>Create a collaborative and customer centric culture through your team in line with company values</li><li>Monitor and drive individual and team performance through structured 1:1s, feedback cycles, coaching methods and clear performance goal setting</li><li>Prepare updates for your line manager on performance against KPIs and action plans where necessary</li><li>Review and utilise data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement of your department</li><li>Liaise closely with product teams, providing feedback and delivering updates to your team about new features and updates.</li>

<li>You have operational experience in a customer focussed environment with team leadership experience </li><li>You have a working knowledge of the FCA and its guidance to regulated firms</li><li>You have experience working with a current account product, preferably for a digitally focussed bank in a FinTech environment</li><li>You can display demonstratable workflow management experience</li><li>You possess outstanding attention to detail, with strong ethic of personal responsibility</li><li>You are an excellent problem solver and have an ability to think creatively</li><li>You have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li>You’re able to operate with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results</li><li>You display a strong awareness of risk and the importance of controls and escalation</li><li>You show terrific prioritisation skills to manage high process volume in parallel with projects</li>

You will join our Mobile Platform team which looks after tech underpinning the app itself: from the app’s architecture, shared capabilities and libraries and experiences, as well as the build and analytics infrastructure. The team plays an important role as thought leaders in the broader mobile community at Zopa, and is responsible for moving our tech forward in that space.​

The company has the vision to become Britain’s best bank and have just launched the Zopa account which is a high touch, mass-market product. The app is our most important touch point with the customer and it needs to be performant and delightful. It is a pillar for the technical strategy at Zopa and this team will play a prominent role at the heart of that strategy.​ The app is today built using React Native but increasingly we are leveraging native capabilities (Swift and Kotlin) to significantly overhaul the app experience.

<li>You will report into the Head of Engineering of Mobile.​</li><li>You will manage the engineers in the Mobile Platform team and be responsible for motivating the team and holding the right bar on performance and drive quality across all stages of the SDLC.​</li><li>This is a leadership role that requires a balance of technical acumen, project management skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex high profile strategic projects at scale.​</li><li>You will work closely with Principal Engineer in Mobile, as well as the entire mobile community, to execute the technical strategy for the mobile app itself and to improve how it is built, distributed and observed.​</li><li>You will communicate with stakeholders (technical and otherwise) and bring product teams closer together. Some of your stakeholders will be the most senior members of the business.​</li><li>This role will be hybrid, coming into our London Bridge office at least 2 days a week.</li>

This is the first ever Product Marketing role at Zopa Bank and an exciting start of a new capability for our Customer function. Working in close, active partnership with the VP of Marketing, this person will be a champion of in-house expertise in this area. This hire would play a key role in establishing the function internally and helping Zopa Bank transform how it develops innovative propositions, introduces new products to market and scales feature adoption with our customers.  

Specifically, this person will play a critical role launching and maturing our new current account product. This is a critical gateway product for the company, enabling a high frequency, deep relationships with customers as well as enabling greater usage of other products. The target is hundreds of thousands of customers by the end next year with product-market fit achieved, ahead of more rapid scaling and further investment in 2026. The new hire will be a very close collaborator and support to the Current Account Product Director, working across the Current Account tribe as is relevant to achieve OKRs.

<li>Develop and execute an innovative approach to product marketing in line with our strategic objectives and growth priorities. </li><li>Work across the product lifecycle to unlock value and drive “marketing by design”  into product development processes.</li><li>Synthesise customer research and input competitor analysis to bring Zopa’s product value to the market in the most effective way. </li><li>Co-create and present compelling feature proposals with Product Management and Product Design with consideration to their marketability. </li><li>Sharpen and elevate the value proposition approach for headline or new products with distinctive product communications and well-crafted key messaging.  </li><li>Create, iterate and improve product marketing content across critical marketing touchpoints (e.g. landing page) and key product journeys (e.g. onboarding, CRM) leveraging relevant performance data and actionable customer insights.</li><li>Develop and execute go-to-market and launch plans – including product naming - for any significant releases or key feature innovations. </li><li>Brief and steer the relevant Growth and Marketing specialists on any activation, or campaign requirements. </li>

<li>You have extensive experience working in product marketing and/or a highly related marketing specialism. </li><li>You have experience working in and/or for digital product businesses where you can demonstrate how your product marketing skills helped them scale and grow. Some fintech experience is preferable but not essential.  </li><li>You will have a nice mixture of strategic skillsets (e.g. proposition development, research and testing methodologies) but are also adept in more creative contexts and written deliverables (e.g. naming, messaging, narrative). </li>

The 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) Risk Function are responsible for managing risks across the organisation, working closely with cross-business stakeholders and adopting the bank’s risk framework to embed effective and efficient risk management into everything we do.  

We are looking for a Senior Third-Party Risk Manager to work with our Supplier Relationship Managers across the organisation to identify, assess and manage third party risks. <li>You'll report into the Head of Operational Resilience and work closely with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to ensure Zopa operates its third-party arrangements within risk appetite.  </li><li>Enhance and implement a third-party risk management procedures which complies with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. </li><li>Conduct risk assessments for material third parties, at onboarding and throughout the lifecycle of the arrangements, using information from multiple sources to identify risks and propose proportionate, sustainable and well-considered controls.   </li><li>Work closely with the 1LOD risk teams, supplier relationship managers and the Procurement team, across all areas of the business, to design and implement appropriate controls and to report on their effectiveness.  </li><li>Enhance and deliver third-party risk MI and reporting in a timely manner, enabling accountable individuals to make informed, risk-based decisions.   </li><li>Work with the Procurement team to fully embed and gain value from our new supplier management tool.  </li><li>Own the Bank’s outsourcing register. </li><li>Work with the relevant stakeholders to learn from the root causes of incidents or risk events caused by third-parties.  </li>

<li>You'll be an experienced risk manager with an understanding of the retail banking environment and the regulatory environment, in particular in relation to third party risk management.  </li><li>Proven track record of experience of managing third party risk (ideally in the first line) in a consultancy, fintech or specifically within the financial services sector.   </li><li>Good awareness of the regulatory framework in which Zopa operates and driven to self-educate and learn about the evolving Outsourcing and Critical Third Party regulations.  </li><li>You should be outcome orientated and be able to apply the risk framework to propose optimal outcomes for customers and the bank.   </li><li>A strong communicator who can articulate issues clearly, flagging trade-offs and solutions in order to gain buy in to your proposals.  </li><li>Passionate about improving the risk environment and general ways of working across the teams you support.  </li><li>Act as a source of knowledge and point of contact for business colleagues in your area such as second line risk and first line counterparts.  </li>

As a Customer Service Specialist, you are customer-centric and a strong team player, with a collaborative approach that ensures the customer is always at the heart of everything you do. You can identify opportunities to improve the service we offer and make decisions aimed at creating an exceptional customer experience every time. Delivering first-call resolution by working closely with other areas and taking ownership of each customer interaction is essential to this role.

You will work 5 days out of 7, totalling 37.5 hours per week. The working pattern will consist of 7.5 hour shifts between 8 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and you will work one weekend a month, 9 am – 5:30 pm.

This is a hybrid role. The team works in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

About The Team:

We’re on a mission to level up our mobile app. This role spans across all teams working on mobile at Zopa, rather than being confined to a single team.

Zopa is committed to becoming Britain’s best bank. We have just launched our mass-market Zopa account product, one which comes with the highest demands from customers in terms of app performance. The app is our most critical touchpoint with customers, and it needs to be both performant and delightful. We're investing in the app’s tech to elevate its experience.

We are big believers in a lean philosophy and flexibility in implementation, while aiming to achieve stack consistency and alignment across the board. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be experienced solving complex engineering problems, understand the full SDLC and operate, not just create, production environments. Our Senior Software Engineers understand the trade-offs between risk, quality, speed as well as short-term vs long-term value, all the whilst keeping focused on customer needs. We are looking for a commercially focussed Product Director to join our Unsecured Personal Loan (UPL) tribe looking after all aspects of new customer acquisition. The role will span the entire funnel and require someone who is able to work closely with both analytical and technical teams to implement the experiences, features and decisioning to maintain our industry leading position in loans and grow our market share.  

We launched our loan proposition nearly 20 years ago, starting as the UK’s first peer to peer lender before turbo charging our growth in 2020 as we transitioned into a bank. We are currently the largest open market lender and are always looking to challenge ourselves on how we can continue growing and putting our world class product in the hands of more customers. 

This is a highly autonomous and high ownership role, leading multiple cross-functional software teams with support from product managers, analysts and partnerships team to build new go to market strategies. Your role will be owning the UPL originations roadmap that will need to carefully balance big bets, more guaranteed growth and investment in our platform/people. You will also own the commercial management of UPL where you will be recommending pricing/strategic decisions to the senior management team. You will need to collaborate to get to the right answer, drawing on our best-in-class analytics customer insights and industry context to make sure the roadmap is always the best that it can be. 

Despite having a great team around you, you will need to be happy and able to get your hands dirty as there are always opportunities that we could be looking at. This may involve building simple financial forecasts, validating commercial viability, facilitating/taking part in ideation sessions, collaborating with software engineering on the technical approach or, being in the middle of the launch of a large new project. 

You will have 1 direct report and lead 2 x-functional engineering teams (~15 engineers) and set the direction for multiple analytical teams. You will need to be able to inspire these teams to deliver at their very best despite only directly line managing a small proportion of them. This will require diverse leadership skills that can empathise with a variety of viewpoints and draw the best out of the individuals.

The Analytic Engineering team is part of the wider Data Team within Technology. We are looking to grow the team and are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join. The team are all about turning data into useful information that helps analytic, product, finance and risk teams get the value and insight that they need!

The role
At Zopa we have multiple products and lots of data that we want to make better use of to make better decisions for our customers. So, as an Analytics Engineer you will use your skills to learn your domain and build a strong knowledge of the data and build quality data products that are well structured with built in controls and quality checks using our selected tools. Not only that, at Zopa we focus heavily on autonomy and empowerment so you will take ownership for the daily operation of these data marts: resolving issues and escalating issues where appropriate. Moreover, you will help and support our stakeholder group with data knowledge and skills, as well as support other team members by supporting code reviews and data validation checks to make sure we keep our standards.

Reporting directly to the Head of Collections Operations, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining process artifacts including knowledge pages for agents to use, training subject matter content, customer communication templates, standard operating procedures, process maps and the like.  You will be responsible for understanding how these processes are performing day to day working with the risk and data teams to ensure that you have regular and meaningful insight on process performance, risks and weak areas where we need to improve our controls.
 
You will use this information, as well as other qualitative and quantitative insight, to analyse and report on process performance and areas where the process can be improved either through automation/AI, improved process design and/or execution and/or better controls. You will create a prioritised roadmap of improvements which you will deliver, as well as supporting change delivery into your process areas, providing operational readiness and impact assessments and appropriate rollout and embedment plans proportionate to the size, scale and impact of the change.

Reporting directly to the Head of Fraud and FinCrime Operations, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining process artifacts including knowledge pages for agents to use, training subject matter content, customer communication templates, standard operating procedures, process maps and the like.  You will be responsible for understanding how these processes are performing day to day working the risk and data teams to ensure that you have regular and meaningful insight on process performance, risks and weak areas where we need to improve our controls. 
 
You will use this information, as well as other qualitative and quantitative insight, to analyse and report on process performance and areas where the process can be improved either through automation/AI, improved process design and/or execution and/or better controls. At Zopa, our teams are small, agile and cross-functional so you can expect to interact with stakeholders and key business users daily. We are big believers in a lean philosophy and flexibility in implementation, while aiming to achieve stack consistency and alignment across the board. As a Software Engineer you will be experienced solving complex engineering problems, understand the full SDLC and operate, not just create, production environments. Our Software Engineers understand the trade-offs between risk, quality, speed as well as short-term vs long-term value, all the whilst keeping focused on customer needs. Above all, we want team players focused on improving the organisation and the people around them. 
 
Some of the tech stack you will be working with includes: Java, Kafka, Kotlin, React, React Native, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, AWS Aurora Postgres, just to name a few. But don't worry, you don't need to know it all.
