The team
The Analytics Engineering team is a key part of the broader Data Team within the Technology division. We’re growing and excited to welcome a new Analytics Engineer to join us! Our mission is to transform data into actionable insights, empowering analytics, product, finance, and risk teams to extract the value and information they need. 

At Zopa, we’re committed to leveraging data to make smarter decisions for our customers. As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll dive into your domain, build a deep understanding of the data, and create high-quality data products. These products will be well-structured, reliable, and incorporate robust controls and quality checks using our selected tools. 

In line with Zopa’s strong focus on autonomy and empowerment, you’ll take ownership of the daily operation of our data marts. This includes resolving issues, escalating when necessary, and ensuring smooth operations. Beyond technical responsibilities, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to share your data knowledge and expertise. Additionally, you’ll support the team by conducting code reviews and validating data, ensuring our work meets the highest standards.

<li>You would report directly into the Head of Analytics Engineering</li><li>You'll collaborate with stakeholder teams to identify customer needs and deliver effective solutions that generate value for the business</li><li>You'll model raw data into clean, tested &amp; reusable datasets enabling analysts and other stakeholders to understand and use data more effectively </li><li>You'll take ownership of existing data assets and identify ways to simplify and optimise them </li><li>You'll develop good relationships with product teams to understand the changes that are coming and how this might impact the processes that you own </li><li>You'll make your data sets a wonderful experience to use and support by providing great documentation and robust quality checks </li><li>You would get involved in troubleshooting and investigation of issues, liaising across teams to find solutions </li><li>You would provide input into improving how the team works and how to improve our processes, standards, and best practices to improve the quality and consistency of what we produce </li><li>You'll help, support and mentor other members of the team and our stakeholder group with data knowledge and skills </li><li>You'll support other team members by delivering code reviews and data validation checks to make sure we keep our standards </li>

<li>Previous experience in an analytics engineering role</li><li>Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) </li><li>Proficiency with dbt or similar data transformation tools </li><li>Knowledge of data governance and best practices for data security </li><li>Clear and concise communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders </li><li>Analytical mindset with attention to detail and curiosity to find the edge cases in data that might impact its use </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills </li><li>Embraces new technologies and stays updated with the latest trends and tools in data analytics &amp;  engineering &amp; AI</li>

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join Zopa’s Financial Control team as we scale. You’ll lead key month-end close activities, strengthen controls, drive process improvements, and partner with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business. This role suits someone who delivers high-quality financial and tax reporting, uses data to solve problems, and supports the development of others.

<li>Own delivery of key elements of the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely postings, robust controls and high-quality balance sheet substantiation. </li><li>Own accounting for key P&amp;L and balance sheet areas, including month-end analysis, reconciliations and variance commentary. </li><li>Use and maintain key processes and financial models to calculate and post month-end adjustments (e.g., Intangible assets, EIR, Share based payments). </li><li>Own the preparation of certain tax compliance schedules (e.g., VAT and corporate tax returns) and support with wider tax management </li><li>Execute monthly, quarterly and annual controls over financial and tax reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. </li><li>Drive process improvement and AI/automation throughout our BAU activities to enhance the close and reporting processes. We are undertaking a transformation project to change our General Ledger system so there will be plenty of opportunities for process improvement. </li>

<li>Qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with strong experience in month-end close and financial reporting. </li><li>Analytical and practical, with excellent numerical skills and strong Excel / spreadsheet capability. </li><li>Proactive problem-solver, able to investigate root causes and deliver clear, structured solutions. </li><li>Curious about how technology, data and emerging tools (including AI) can enhance financial control, reporting and process efficiency. </li><li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards. </li><li>Collaborative team player with a strong attention to detail and a mindset of continuous improvement. </li><li>Self-motivated and energised by driving excellence and innovation within Financial Control</li>

Zopa is scaling its B2B Lending and Payments propositions. We’re bringing together two high-performing commercial teams with different sales motions and technology stacks, and we’re building a strengthened, centralised Sales Operations function to help both teams scale efficiently while delivering an outstanding merchant experience.

This is a newly shaped role and a rare opportunity to define how Sales Operations works across Zopa’s Retail Finance & Payments business. As Head of Sales Operations, you’ll build the operational engine that underpins our commercial organisation — ensuring sales teams are enabled through clear processes, trusted data, effective tool configuration and integrations, scalable automation, and insight-driven decision-making.

<li>Set the vision for Sales Operations across Zopa’s Retail Finance &amp; Payments business, creating consistent ways of working that still support different sales motions.</li><li>Lead and grow a small Sales Ops team, embedding strong operating rhythms and a continuous improvement mindset.</li><li>Own and optimise end-to-end commercial workflows from lead sourcing and multi-channel outreach (including AI/intent tooling) through to contract, onboarding, integration and live merchants.</li><li>Remove friction and bottlenecks across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance and Operations to reduce time-to-live and improve the merchant experience.</li><li>Own and evolve the sales technology stack (starting with our CRM landscape), including configuration, integrations, automation, lead routing, data quality and governance.</li><li>Build executive-level dashboards and reporting across pipeline health, forecasting, funnel performance, onboarding progress and commercial ROI — turning CRM data into actionable insights.</li><li>Coach teams on best practice and drive strong adoption of tools and processes as we scale.</li>

<li>Strong background in Sales Ops / Rev Ops / commercial process design within fintech, payments, SaaS or a similarly regulated environment (or a GTM agency background with comparable complexity).</li><li>Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot and/or Salesforce), including integrations, automation, and data structures.</li><li>Proven track record improving B2B or merchant-led sales and onboarding workflows (e.g., conversion, velocity, time-to-live, quality).</li><li>Analytical and structured, comfortable using data to diagnose issues and influence decisions at team and leadership level.</li><li>Confident operating in fast-changing environments, building scalable foundations where processes are still evolving.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management across commercial and technical teams; able to align priorities and get things shipped.</li><li>Experience leading small teams and/or delivering through others.</li><li>Bonus: familiarity with AI sales tooling and/or some code-level competency; experience partnering closely with risk, compliance, onboarding or ops.</li>

We are seeking detail-oriented and highly motivated Financial Crime Specialists within Transaction Monitoring & Mule to join our Financial Crime Operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analysing financial transactions to detect and prevent suspicious activity related to money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Working Pattern:

This is a hybrid role, with the team working in the office three days per week.

Your working week will consist of 7.5 hour shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work one weekend day every other week remotely. If you work a weekend day, you will receive a day off during the week.

You will be required to work on some bank holidays each year, for which you will receive time off in lieu.

<li><b>Transaction Monitoring: </b>Review and analyse customer transactions to identify potentially suspicious activity, including money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, and other typologies.</li><li>Investigate flagged transactions across the Zopa suite of products using transaction monitoring systems and assess their potential risk.</li><li>Experience investigating Mule alerts raised through transaction monitoring.</li><li>Escalate suspicious activity for further investigation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.</li><li>Use AI-enabled monitoring tools as part of day-to-day transaction monitoring activities. Review and assess AI-generated alerts and recommendations, applying analyst judgment to support accurate decision-making.</li><li>Leverage insights from AI outputs to support investigations, identify potential risks or patterns, and escalate findings in line with agreed procedures.</li><li>Share observations to support the ongoing improvement of monitoring tools and controls.</li><li><b>Reporting &amp; Documentation: </b>Prepare detailed investigation reports outlining findings, actions taken, and recommendations.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of monitored transactions and investigations to support audit requirements and regulatory reviews.</li><li><b>Communication: </b>Handle phone- and chat-based interactions with customers as part of daily responsibilities. This includes engaging with customers, addressing inquiries, and providing support to those contacting regarding suspended accounts.</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to manage interactions effectively are essential for this role.</li>

<li>Experience in financial crime, ideally in a Transaction Monitoring/Mule role within the banking or financial services industry.</li><li>Experience leveraging AI tools to support financial crime investigations and produce high-quality investigative summaries, while maintaining strong analytical judgment and regulatory awareness.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to critically assess AI-generated case summaries, applying professional judgment to support sound case decisions while ensuring full regulatory and policy compliance.</li><li>Strong knowledge of UK financial crime regulations, including the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA), the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR), and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines.</li><li>Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems.</li><li>Strong analytical and investigative skills with keen attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to produce clear, concise reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of banking products and services, including payments, savings, and investment transactions.</li><div><b>Desirable:</b></div><li>ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) certification or equivalent ICA qualification.</li><li>A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously under pressure.</li>

We are seeking detail-oriented and highly motivated SARs Financial Crime Specialists within to join our Financial Crime Operations team.

The role involves preparing detailed reports on potentially suspicious financial transactions for compliance and regulatory purposes. Key responsibilities include reviewing customer transactions and related information to identify suspicious activity, drafting SARs, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position plays a crucial role in preventing financial crime, including money laundering and fraud.

Working Pattern:

This is a hybrid role, with the team working in the office two days per week.

Your working week will consist of 7.5 hour shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work one weekend day every other week remotely. If you work a weekend day, you will receive a day off during the week.

As a Senior Fraud Specialist within Complex Investigations, you are responsible for independently leading the investigation and response to complex, high-risk, and high-value fraud incidents and cases. This includes major fraud events, crypto-related activity, impersonation and Authorised Push Payment (APP/ACTO) fraud, and incidents affecting multiple customers across different products.

The role operates as an investigator within the Complex Case team in the Fraud Operations function, working within established incident and fraud frameworks to ensure swift containment, accurate evidence gathering, and clear, defensible documentation. The investigator assesses customer and financial impact, identifies root causes across products and channels, and provides well-reasoned recommendations to support remediation, reimbursement decisions, and control improvements.

The role also plays a key part in sharing insights with Fraud Strategy, contributing learnings from complex investigations to help inform detection, prevention, and broader fraud risk management, while not owning bank-wide strategy or final risk decisions.

Working Pattern:

Our Real Time Analysts play an important role in the day-to-day operation of these teams, helping to manage intraday performance and resource decisions as demand changes.

The Real Time Analyst will manage live performance to support service levels and customer outcomes, making real-time staffing and resourcing decisions across channels. We’re looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive our next phase of growth across regional and national retailers. This role will be central to our 2026/2027 expansion: owning the mid-market tier, helping open new verticals, and delivering high-impact POS/Retail Finance partnerships. You’ll spend time in the market building relationships, creating opportunities, shaping go-to-market ideas, and identifying new ways to reach merchants who match our ideal customer profile.

The Role
You will own a portfolio of verticals, shaped by your experience and the sectors we open in 2026, and be responsible for acquiring retailers with strong revenue potential and high consumer engagement. These merchants may not yet offer finance or may be underserved by legacy providers, creating a significant opportunity to add value.

While the Strategic BDMs focus on the highest-value national brands, you will own the tier immediately below, including regional chains, smaller national groups, and emerging brands. You’ll work closely with our payments team to unlock cross-sell and shared pipeline opportunities, but POS/Retail Finance is your domain to grow.

This is an outbound-led, proactive business development role for someone who brings market curiosity, sound commercial judgement, and a structured approach to building pipeline.

The team:

The Data Engineering team are responsible for designing, building and running the complex data pipelines that the bank relies on. We combine skills in software engineering, data analysis, and operations and partner with teams across the company to solve varied, challenging problems. We value collaboration, pragmatism and continual learning over individual heroics.

About the team
We are on a mission to level up our mobile app, and we’re looking for someone to join the team to help build our new Android app, written in Kotlin.

You will join our Mobile Platform team, which is responsible for the technical foundations of the app: its architecture, shared capabilities and libraries, core experiences, and the build and analytics infrastructure. The team plays an important role as thought leaders within Zopa’s mobile community and is accountable for driving our mobile technology forward.

Zopa’s ambition is to become Britain’s best bank, and we have recently launched the Zopa Account — a high-touch, mass-market product. The mobile app is our most important customer touchpoint, and it needs to be performant, reliable, and delightful. As a result, we are making a deliberate investment in the quality and evolution of our mobile technology.

Today, the app is built using React Native, but we are increasingly leveraging native capabilities in Swift and Kotlin. We are in the midst of a significant overhaul of the Android experience, moving toward a more fully native approach, and we’re looking for someone to join us on that journey.

<li>Take ownership for the end-to-end incident management lifecycle for our technology services - ensuring rapid detection, response, triage, remediation and post-incident reviews, aligned to business needs and SLAs.</li><li>Lead the major incident / technical incident response process: ensure correct escalation, coordinate multi-discipline teams (infrastructure, applications, security, operations etc), communicate status to stakeholders, restore service with minimal business impact, and ensure root-cause and corrective/preventive actions.</li><li>Oversee the tooling ecosystem for incident management: ensure that incident management platforms (ticketing, alerting, monitoring dashboards, runbooks) are configured, maintained and optimised for efficiency, automation and metrics.</li><li>Monitor service performance and incident metrics (mean time to detect, mean time to resolve, recurrence rates, SLA compliance) and present reports to tech teams and senior leadership, using data to drive continual service improvement.</li><li>Partner with the security operations / cyber incident team to manage security-related incidents (e.g., logging/alerting, log-analysis, triage of suspicious activity, coordinating with SOC, forensic hand-off, lessons-learned).</li><li>Own and evolve processes under recognised service-management frameworks (for example ITIL / ISO/IEC 20000) ensuring they reflect Zopa Bank’s environment, governance requirements and regulatory obligations.</li><li>Work closely with other IT and business stakeholders (operations, risk, compliance, development, infrastructure) to ensure service delivery is aligned to business outcomes, risks are managed and continuous improvement is embedded.</li><li>Train and mentor colleagues across the business, ensuring they have the right skills, tooling access and processes to deliver excellent service and response to incidents.</li>

<li>Hands-on experience in IT service delivery/operations, with specific responsibility for incident management in a complex, high-availability environment.</li><li>Proven track record of technical incident management: coordinating major incidents, triaging complex issues across infrastructure, applications, networks, coordinating cross-team responses and driving resolution.</li><li>Strong experience with incident management tooling and platforms (for example ticket/alerting systems such as Jira Service Management, PagerDuty, Splunk, monitoring/observability tools, log-analysis tools) and the ability to optimise workflows and automate where appropriate.</li><li>Certifications in relevant frameworks such as ITIL (Foundation or preferably Intermediate/Expert) and familiarity with service-management standards such as ISO/IEC 20000.  </li><li>Experience or strong awareness of security incident management practices: log analysis, triage of security alerts, coordination with SOC teams, performing root-cause/root-cause analysis for security events.</li><li>·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills: able to translate technical incident status into business-impact language, manage expectations, escalate appropriately and keep leadership informed.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to review incident metrics, spotting trends, hypotheses for root causes, and initiating improvements.  </li><li>Leadership skills: able to lead through incident pressure, guide teams, ensure calm in high-stress incident responses, and drive incident review and lessons-learned into service improvements.</li><li>A proactive mindset for continual improvement: you identify and drive enhancements to processes, tooling, service-levels, and resilience across the IT service management domain.  </li><li>Ideally, experience working in a regulated environment (such as a bank/financial services) with an understanding of risk, compliance, audit and service-governance implications of incident management.</li>

<li>Experience with observability, monitoring and alerting platforms (for example Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana) and hands-on log-analysis skills (e.g., analysing event logs, application logs, network logs to support incident response or security investigations).</li><li>Certification or working knowledge in security or cyber incident response (for example CISSP, CISM, or incident response training).</li><li>Experience in designing and delivering major-incident simulation/drill programmes or running incident simulation exercises (table-top drills) to test readiness.</li><li>Experience in managing / migrating incident management tools and platforms.  </li><li>Experience working in a Fintech or banking environment with real-time services, where high availability, change-control, risk and regulatory constraints are part of the daily operating model.</li><li>Knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD and how incident management integrates with deployment pipelines, monitoring, post-release health checks and service resilience.</li><li>Experience managing external vendors/third-party service providers in the incident response context (escalation, service-contracts, SLAs, hand-off).</li><li>Familiarity with cloud-native incident monitoring and response (e.g., AWS CloudWatch) and hybrid infrastructure environments.</li>

The role: 

You will join a high performing risk analytics team responsible for assessing the credit risk of our assets across all lending products using the Expected Credit Loss framework, understanding and monitoring portfolio trends, market dynamics and macro-economic environment   

Collaboration is key at Zopa which means you'll work closely with our cross-functional analytical teams including data science, product, collections and finance to develop and drive innovative approaches to calculating impairment provisions while remaining compliant with our internal policies and external regulations.

Zopa are looking for a new Senior Credit Strategy Analyst to join our high performing credit analytics and strategy team. 

This team is responsible for driving step-change improvements in credit performance by developing risk models, hypothesis testing, and monitoring portfolio trends.   
 
Collaboration is key at Zopa which means you'll work closely with our cross-functional teams including data science, product, and engineers to develop and drive growth strategies, influence strategic decisions and identify new opportunities through the application of leading-edge analytical techniques.

<li>Optimising credit strategy and decisioning for one of our lending products, either through the deployment of a new risk scorecard understanding the risks involved or designing and implementing a change to credit policy. </li><li>Using advanced statistical techniques to predict customer behavior or forecast future demand.</li><li>Shaping and enhancing our credit policy, and working with the product and tech teams to deliver these changes.   </li><li>Working with open banking data or other novel datasets to find new ways of enhancing our credit strategy. </li><li>Managing the pricing &amp; commercials on our lending programme and making recommendations on our strategy to the Product Directors. </li><li>Analysing the performance of our portfolio, identifying any areas of improvement, and recommending strategy changes based on these findings. </li><li>Collaborating with our fraud team to stay updated on latest trends and exploring potential enhancements to our fraud strategy. </li><li>Formulating strategies to improve our affordability policy and ensuring we continually deliver good customer outcomes. </li><li>Building NPV &amp; pricing optimization models to inform lending decisions while understanding their inherent limitations. </li><div><br /></div><div><b>Please note - the above aims to provide insight into some of the exciting projects our Senior Analysts have been working on in the last 12-18 months. You would not be expected to do all of the above in one typical day at Zopa! </b></div>

<li>You have strong experience doing credit risk analysis in a consumer lending environment.</li><li>You have a strong ability in manipulating and analysing large datasets using SQL and/or Python.  </li><li>You are experienced in visualization and storytelling through data. </li><li>You have a passion for translating numbers into business opportunities and delivering insights to drive decision-making. </li><li>You are a structured and holistic problem-solver, and possess strong time management skills.</li><li>You have an insatiable curiosity and a relentless drive to learn, improve, and share knowledge with others.</li><li>You are able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including tech, data science, finance and product.</li><div><br /></div><div><b>We know that no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
